Introduction

Pears Soap, a product of Hindustan Unilever has recently partnered with Disney to design packaging Strategy of its product. For summer, they have introduced a new variant that keeps skin young even in summer. Looking to provide an immense experience to users with the brand, they partnered with Xenium Digital to provide an interactive Activation program.

The activation happened at Infinity – II Mall in Malad (Mumbai). A stage was set with Giant Video Wall for AR Experience. Most of the Mother-Daughter visited the mall were active participants of the Activation.

The Event

Xenium Digital provided the Augmented Reality technology Solution to make this activation a Grand success. This was a first of a kind AR project wherein two participants were augmented simultaneously. They used advanced 3d depth sensor, capable of sensing Human Skeleton. In this Activation, Mother participant were asked to stand on a marker. As soon as the camera detect, a fairy Godmother dress is augmented on them. The technology here was capable of calibrating exact height and position of the mother. Later, daughter was asked to join in for the activation. Here, Mother was given three options of Cinderella dress, Necklace and Tiara. As soon as the mother choose any given item with her hand gesture for eg. Cinderella’s dress, it gets Augmented on the Daughter. This way Mother was asked to dress her daughter completely like a Cinderella.

Once the mother is satisfied with the dress, necklace & Tiara on her daughter, they were asked to give a pose for a snapshot. This snapshot was then distributed to them in form of printouts and Digital Copy. Few of the mothers also insisted to share the snapshot on their Social Media Account. Hampers containing Pears Soap and Body wash was distributed to all the participants. This two day AR Experience made a huge attraction of approximately 1500 active participants.
