Jamshedji Nusserwanji Tata was a legend, the man who founded India’s biggest conglomerate company, the Tata Group. He is responsible for igniting the industrial revolution in India. It is only natural for us to celebrate his birth anniversary with grandeur and pomp. Every year people from all over the country join the Tata family to pay their respects on this day. The values taught by Mr. Jamshedji Nusserwanji Tatahas strengthened the roots of the company over the years and has ensured it prospers organically, attracting wellwishers from all over the world with the products they make and the services they provide. Besides being the world leaders in steel, Tata has excelled in everypossible field that it has ventured into. Be it commercial/passenger vehicles, hospitalityand even the food industry.The Tata group approached us for on the 173rd birth anniversary celebrations of Mr.Jamshedji Nusserwanji Tata. The brief was to create a ‘nostalgic experience’. We were honored.

The Solution

There is very little in the world of AR and VR that is not possible. What is not possible today can be made possible with a bit of development and research in the near future. Being in the presence of such a great personality can give any living being goosebumps. We decided to recreate his digital footprint with the help of augmented reality. The setup was extremely simple, three chairs around a table and a screen facing them. One chair was left vacant and anyone could sit on the chair in front of the vacant chair. If you sit down on the chair and look up to the screen, you will find yourself seated next to Mr. Jamshedji Nusserwanji Tata himself.


It is surreal how the world of augmented reality and virtual reality can make a person feel. Sometimes creating experiences goes beyond the usual brand building exercise. Sometimes it’s about the emotional connect, it’s about people, it’s about the people who make a brand what it is.
